Dec 03, 2019 Tame Impala Drum Sounds. As you may know, we have shared a lot of trap and hip-hop packs on this blog and today I wanted to share with you a little different kit since it is a drum kit inspired by Tame Impala, an Australian psychedelic music project led by multi-instrumentalist Kevin Parker. Tame Impala are due to release their new album The Slow Rush this week, a much-anticipated follow-up to 2015’s Currents.In this article, I revisited a few of my favourite tracks from Currents and deconstructed both the synth sounds and the production techniques responsible for the the albums unique sound.

- Oct 10, 2015 Synth for Tame Impala Style Music? I've been trying to look for a decent synth that I can programme to achieve some of the nice sounds that Kevin's getting on both Currents and Lonerism. I'm mainly interested in the pads, organish sounds (like Beach House have) and maybe some cool but not overly stabby leads.

What soft synth software/VST/plug ins for Tame Impala keys and synth sound?

I've seen a couple threads on how to get Kevin Parker's synth tones from hardware synths, but I'm wondering if anyone has any tips for getting a similar tone from a soft synth (midi keyboard into Logic)? I've had a play around with the in-built Logic plug-ins and software instrument synths, but they all sound pretty crappy, way too modern and EDM sounding for this type of music.
I've also taken a look at the Massive plug in, which at least has more customizability, but if anyone could suggest how to get Tame Impala's lo-fi 80s synth sounds out of a software instrument, let me know!
By the way, just running a purely midi keyboard into Logic on a macbook.
