Hey all, I've been working with Mixxx (version 1.10 64 bit) on Kubuntu 11.04 (64 bit) using my internal sound card for master output and a set of USB headphones for cueing for a while. However, I recently got a Mixvibes U-Mix44 USB card, which I hoped would let me consolidate all my outputs to one device and reduce latency a bit in the process. I plugged it in and it was detected by Kubuntu as 'Mixvibes U-MIX44 Sound Device Analog Surround 4.0.'
First off, I've never done any sound hardware work, so I may have just wired things wrong, and secondly, the speaker setup I'm using is somewhat old, which could also be causing the issues. The speakers I have the bare wires at the ends that go into the little clamps on the amp. I then plugged in two RCA cables into the U-Mix card and connected them into the corresponding right/left inputs on the amp. When I plugged the RCA cables into output 1 on the card, all I got was some static, so I tried #2, and that worked. However, when I plug in my headphones into the headphone jack on the card, they are also outputting.

When I actually start up Mixxx, I set the card as my master and headphones, with channels 1-2 for master and 3-4 for speakers. However, I get the same issue. If I plug the speakers into the left/right outputs numbered 1, I get nothing. If I plug them into the other two, they speakers output along with my headphones (and get turned on/off if I hit the cue button).

I've also noticed that the overall output volume of the card is very quiet even with everything maxed, but that's the least of my issues right now
Basically, I guess I just need help with setting this card up along with linux. Anyone got any pointers?

I hope I wasn't too confusing, but I'm kind of short on time right now. If I need to provide more details/ pictures of software/hardware configuration, please let me know and I'll post them tonight! Thanks!
